Boynton Vista Trail

Boynton Vista Trail - Highly Recommended. This very easy trail leaves from the Boynton Canyon parking lot (Deadmans Pass trail also leaves from here). You follow the Boynton Canyon trail for .2 miles and then turnoff when you see the sign shown in slide 6. From there you head up the hill for another .2 miles. There is only 140' elevation gain but you get an amazing view that takes in most of the surrounding areas including Doe Mountain, Wilson Mountain and more, and even as far as Courthouse Butte. For wonderful views in a hike that is less than half a mile, you can’t do much better. As you might imagine, this is a heavily traveled trail.

An added attraction on this hike is that you may hear flute music as you are climbing to the top. Robert, the Reiki flute player, goes to the top of the pinnacle twice a day, seven days a week. His message is one of love, healing, and peace. It is magical to be looking at the incredible views from the vista and listening to this ethereal flute music. Robert is shown in slide 22. He also gives out heart shaped stones.
