Devil's Garden Hike
View Slideshow

Devil's Garden: This is a wonderland of hoodoos in various shapes, sizes and colors. It reminds me of the hoodoos in Goblin Valley but whereas those are all red rock, the ones here are beige/brown and red. Devil's Garden is located 12 miles south of the town of Escalante in the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, all of which is a wonderland. It is on the Hole-in-the-Rock Road which is unpaved and heavily wash boarded so it is not fun nor fast to drive. But 12 miles is not bad and Devil's Garden is definitely worth it. This is a stroll rather than a hike but the wonderful formations and the views keep you interested.
