The Alabama Hills - Take Hwy 395 to Lone Pine. Turn west onto Whitney Portal Road, drive 2.5 miles to Movie Road, turn right. After 1.5 miles you will come to a "Y" in the road. Go right and pull into the dirt parking area immediately on your left. You will see markers on both the left and right sides of this parking area. You can begin your arch walk at either trail head.

The first 3 photos were taken the evening before I did the hike. The sun was low but the clouds around the mountain peaks were spectacular, so I included them.

Mobius Arch Loop Trail The hike is easy with wonderful views all around you, with mountains to the west and northeast and beautiful granite formations all around you. It is a .6 mile loop and there is very little elevation change. Mobius Arch is the most spectacular feature but the entire hike provides you with wonderful views.
