Golden Throne Trail - This is a beautiful hike. The Golden Throne is one of the tallest sandstone monoliths in the park. Trail is 4 miles round trip with 730 ft elevation gain so there is some climbing, but it is gradual. You start at the end of the Scenic Drive after it has turned to a dirt road (not rough). Parking can be limited.

You climb steadily along colorful cliffs with many different kinds of rock, getting glimpses of the Golden Throne as you regularly pass by the entrances to each canyon. You also get great views of the surrounding area. I highly recommend this trail.
