Goosenecks Point - The overlook is located on Utah State Route 24 on the west side of Capitol Reef Park, about 2.4 miles west of the visitor center and 7.5 miles east of Torrey. It is signed for Sunset Point and Goosenecks. Gooseneck Point is only .1 mile from the parking but after enjoying the view from the overlook (it is railed so you can look straight down), you can walk along the edge of the canyon. You have a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. There are some very interesting rocks along the rim. These are different from other areas in the park. If you like geology, you will enjoy this stroll.
