South Tufa Trail: South Tufa Trail: Go south of Mono Lake on Hwy. 395. Turn left on Hwy. 120 east and go about 5 miles until you see signs for South Tufa. There is parking near the lake and in interpretative trail that is less than 1 mile. The first part of the loop shows mostly the tufa towers and great views of the lake and the Sierras to the west. This is flat and very easy but views are wonderful.
