Kirkwood Area Hikes

Kirkwood is in the Sierra Nevada on Hwy. 88 a little south of Lake Tahoe. It is known mostly for skiing, but the hiking is wonderful. Most hikes go to beautiful mountain lakes surrounded by granite, and the wildflowers are abundant in the summer.
