Hidden Peak to Mt. Baldy - One of the most beautiful rock gardens I have ever seen is on Mt. Baldy. Take the tram from town to Hidden Peak which is at 10,000 feet elevation. From there walk under the Mineral Basin chairlift and head down a dirt road. The trail branches off it.

Distance of the hike is 2 miles round trip. It is relatively easy with incredible 360-degree views of the surrounding area. Elevation rise/fall: 300 ft. descent on the dirt road and about 400 feet elevation gain on the trail to the top of Mt Baldy. Once you get to the top, the trail continues down the backside, but I don't recommend going that way as the trail is very bad. Best to turn around and go back the way you came. I did this hike in early August.
