Skull Rock Trail - This is an easy 1.7 mile loop trail which you can start from Skull Rock or from Jumbo Rocks campground. My photos show the latter. Slide #1 shows the trail. It is a short distance (.5 miles) to Skull Rock. Then you cross the road and return towards the campground (follow directions on signpost on slide #9). The first part of the trail has mostly monzogranite formations. If you are interested in geology, the second part of the trail is more interesting as there are many different types of rocks along the trail. Any way you do it, it is a beautiful little hike - really more like a stroll - but there is no shade.
